The temple is currently in ruins.   The Vahana mantapam, the Maha Mantapam, kitchen, the temple well, the bell tower, the compound walls etc. are in very bad shape and need immediate attention.  The Sanctum Sanctorum and the Artha Mantapam, though structurally intact, also need repair works.

The task of renovating the temple is being taken up immediately.   The temple has been inspected by some Sthapathies who have estimated that the renovation and Kumbabishekam would cost around Rs. 30 lakhs.  This expenditure has to be met through Donations from the general public.  Balalayam has been done on 17th June 2007 and the renovation work is expected to begin in 3 weeks time.  The work is planned to be taken up in Phases in tune with the collection of funds

The daily pooja (which had been suspended for more than 7 to 8 years) has been restored since Oct 2003 by the efforts of the natives of the village.

Once the renovation is completed the Archakas and Subordinate personnel needed for the day-to-day Worship at the temple will be instated.  It is also proposed to set up a corpus fund, the interest from which can be used for regular maintenance work and for conduction daily poojas in the temple.

A Trust has been formed by Non-resident and resident natives of the village and registered as a Religious Trust with the Income Tax Department.  Details are as given below
